This painting emerged layer by layer, much like a garden. Marks were covered and rediscovered. Colors found their way through. New growth appeared where I least expected it.
As I worked, I kept returning to the idea that nothing is wasted. The difficult seasons, the beautiful seasons, and all the moments in between become part of who we are.
