Wild & Becoming is the final piece in my Wild series.
This 30x40 original acrylic painting captures the quiet, powerful process of growth. A cluster of bold cactus forms rise together, outlined in black and layered with deep purples, blues, and vibrant bursts of color. Bright red blooms open across the piece, symbolizing transformation, expansion, and stepping into who you are meant to be.

For a long time, I thought becoming meant arriving. I believed I would finally reach a place where I felt healed, certain, and complete.
But life doesn’t work that way.
We are always growing into something new. Some parts of us are blooming, some are still tender, and others are quietly gathering the strength to begin again.
Wild & Becoming holds all of those stages at once. The cactus carries its scars, protects what is tender, and continues creating new growth. It doesn’t wait until everything is perfect before it blooms.
I painted this for the woman in the middle of her own transformation. She is no longer who she was, but she is still discovering who she is becoming.
You do not have to be finished to be worthy of being seen.
You are already becoming.

Wild & Unbreakable is about the strength that grows after disappointment, loss, and change. Like the cactus, we learn how to protect what is tender without closing ourselves off completely. We carry our scars, reach toward the light, and somehow find the courage to bloom again.
I painted this for the woman who has been bent, bruised, and changed by life, but has never stopped becoming more fully herself.

I painted this for the woman who is done shrinking herself to fit, ready to follow her own path, and finally free to become exactly who she was meant to be.

Electric Botanicals Series
Birds Eye View is a bold exploration of what happens when we begin to come fully alive.
Layer upon layer of textured petals radiate outward from a deep electric-blue center, moving through violet, magenta, crimson and fiery red. Flecks of gold travel through the natural cracks and ridges of the surface, inspired by the Japanese art of kintsugi, where broken places are honored rather than hidden.
The flower feels as though it is expanding beyond the edges of the canvas, a reminder that growth rarely happens quietly or perfectly. Sometimes awakening is messy, vibrant and impossible to contain.
Created as part of my Electric Botanicals Series, Awaken celebrates creativity, resilience and the courage to keep opening.

Inner Light is a reminder that even when life feels layered, complicated, or uncertain, there is still something bright within us.
Layers of deep violet, electric purple, turquoise, and blue radiate outward from a luminous center, creating a flower that feels almost alive with energy. Heavy molding paste gives each petal dimension, while watercolor glaze, acrylic paint, and oil pastel build rich layers of color and movement.
Fine touches of gold follow the natural cracks and imperfections in the textured surface, inspired by the Japanese art of kintsugi, where broken places are honored rather than hidden. Here, those golden marks become part of the story.

Slightly Concerned is what happens when you’re trying to stay calm… but you’re definitely keeping an eye on things.
With one wonderfully worried eye, dramatic pink lips, and a look that says “I’m sure it’s probably fine…”, this expressive fish brings humor and personality into a bold, contemporary painting.
Layers of heavy body acrylic create rich texture throughout the piece, while turquoise, orange, pink, green, gold, and deep blue dance across the nearly black background. With half-lidded eyes, a suspiciously confident expression, and one very large hook, this colorful little worm seems to be weighing his options. He knows the risk. He sees the hook. And yet... here we are.
Created with layers of heavy body acrylic, Slightly Tempting combines rich texture with bold orange, turquoise, gold, cream, and deep blue. Scraped marks and loose brushwork give the piece the same energetic, imperfect personality found throughout The Slightly Series.
